A member asked:

Can you tell me are hyperopic people at risk for retinal detachment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Less than myopic: Anybody can get a retinal detachment, but myopia is considered a risk factor and not really hyperopia. That is not to say that a hyperope can't get an rd, because they certainly can.
