A member asked:

Can you tell me are carrots not good for you in large amounts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Correct: Extremely large quantities (more than 2 lbs of carrots/day) is bad. You can get beta-carotene toxicity. This is reversible when you cut back. The usual side effects are yellowing of the skin and nails - basically you start looking like a carrot. "You are what you eat".
