A member asked:

My bmi is 19.9, i want to get down to a bmi of 17. can i do this healthily and how long will it take?

Dr. Gregg Nishi answered

Specializes in Bariatrics

Lower my BMI: A bmi of 19.9 is fine, and you don't need to go down to 17 which is actually underweight.
