A member asked:

I have painful, non moving lump on armpit! could this be cancerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends.: Hi roula1. A tender nonmoving lump may be anything from a completely noncancerous swollen lymph node to a more serious cancerous growth. If concern exists, i would recommend having the lump evaluated in person by a doctor. For a more definitive answer, an ultrasound or biopsy of the lump may be performed. Thanks for contacting healthtap.
