Osteopathic Eval: May need to see a osteopathic physician that does manipulation to see if a rib is dislocated and he/she can offer treatment. If this does not help, it could be pathology in your thoracic spine that needs to be evaluated. Recommend seeing a pain/spine specialist.

Be seen: I would encourage you to be seen. There are many potential causes from very benign to more serious including: an irritation of a nerve in the spine, a pulmonary problem (pneumonia, pleurisy, PE), a GI problem (gallstones, liver or pancreas problem), etc. an exam and studies can usually determine the cause.
