Be ready: If you have fever, shortness of breath or weak and lightheaded, you should be evaluated today. If you feel ok other than the pain, and symptoms are not worsening, you could wait and see if it persists for a couple of days, especially if you can identify a well-defined area of tenderness in the chest wall. That would tell you it's probably a musculoskeletal problem. Low back pain may be unrelated.
