Could use your help docs! my ear drum flutters when i hear certian sounds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: The most common cause of ear drum fluttering is spasm of middle ear muscles. There are 2 such muscles, tensor tympani and stapedial. If this occurs with certain sounds, the chances are the level of sound energy may be too high, (greater than, say 85 decibels) these muscles tend to protect the inner ear or may go into spasm spontaneously.
