Avoid more TBI: The most important thing that you can do is to avoid activities where he may have future concussions. So if he is a football player, no more. There is a cumulative effect to multiple concussions which may have profound effects many years later. The other thing to avoid is alcohol and recreational drugs which can impede the brain's recovery.
