Common with viruses: Muscle aches are common with viral infections. With the flu, people often complain of feeling like they got hit by a truck. If you develop severe muscle tenderness and/or dark (coke) colored urine, this needs to be evaluated asap to rule out rhabdomyolysis that can occur for a variety of reasons.
