Will there be a cure for food allergies?

Not soon: There are some groups conducting research on desensitizing to foods. However, this option will not be available soon. For now, the best option is food allergy testing to identify which foods should be avoided.

Working on it: Currently the main option for patients with food allergy is avoidance and epinephrine. However there are clinical trials and Allergists across the country attempting various protocols to help decrease severity of reactions. Oral immuotherapy for common food allergens is currently being offered by a number of Allergists throughout the country.

Food allergies: only proven way is to identify the allergen food and avoid them. repeated exposure can lead to anaphylaxis to the foods, that you were mildly allergic to once.
