Psychopathy genetic?: Psychopathy is is traditionally defined as a personality disorder characterized by enduring antisocial behavior, diminished empathy and remorse, and disinhibited or bold behavior. The research is not absolute on this, although some traits might be genetically based. More important is why this question is being asked--curiosity or understanding of someone else or yourself (or both)?

Nature vs nurture: This is an old philosophical question of nature vs nurture. In other words, is one born a sociopath (AKA antisocial personality disorder) or is one made a sociopath by environmental factors completely removed from genetic predisposition? Some say its a combination of the two. I would also submit that sociopaths can come from perfectly normal childhoods, free of trauma, and the reverse.
