Probably Infection: This is reactive lymph nodes trying to fight off a tooth infection. She needs to see the dentist.

Tooth eruption: Your daughter may simply be describing symptoms related to the eruption of her first permanent molar, which usually erupts around 6 years of age. Or, she may have a sinus infection. We all have lymph nodes behind the ear and head that drain down the side or our neck. If you are nervous about this, contact your pediatrician so that he can examine her and put your mind at ease.
