Diplopia: Diplopia or double vision can be caused by a variety of conditions. The double vision can be side by side, at a diagonal, or vertical. Diplopia occurs when the muscles of the eyes are not synchronized. There are many causes ranging from trauma to tumors to infection/inflammation. See a neurologist who specializes in the eyes to determine the cause.
