A member asked:

What does it mean( the fluid"water"around the baby is slightly increased)? knowing i am 38 weeks pregnant! does it badly affect the baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Polyhydraminous: The amount of amniotic fluid is in a range. Too much can mean one set of issues and too little another. Or it might just be normal for you. The risk of too much can be what ever is causing that increase in amount. In addition extra fluid can be associated with cord compression with rapid loss of water when your fluid is released. Speak with you doctor about these concerns.
