Pulmonary Edema: In pulmonary edema, you can hear crackles but not always. It's important to know that crackles are heard in pneumonia as well.

Yes: Usually when there is enough pulmonary edema to become symptomatic it can be heard as "crackles" when listening with a stethoscope.
