Great question: Disorders of the jaw and TMJ joint can be rather complex. My thoughts here are that you will likely be on a first name basis with an oral surgeon.....And the future long term success of your surgeries and treatment of TMJ area will be multifaceted and a combined effort with you and your doctors.

Jaw pain: It will take an examination by an oral surgeon to answer your question. An orthodontist will help you establish a healthy bite.

Team approach: I can sympathize with you for all that you have been through ; understand your retiscence about more surgeries. This cannot be answered easily over the internet without personally examining you. It would require a combined effort from a team of dentists taking into account ortho, prosthodontics, tmj.
