A member asked:

Posterolateral knee surgery - is the success rate fairly high in regards to getting back to an active lifestyle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Multifactorial issue. Depends on exactly what was injured, the extent/anatomy of the injury, associated joint surface/cartilage injury, preexisting joint damage ; whether any/all reparable. In addition, whether repairs done, compliance with post op rehab/bracing and other patient factors like bmi, diabetes, wound care. If all repaired by experienced surg., no joint damage ; pt. Complies; yes.
