A member asked:

3month old with rsv is it safe to give her pedialyte as well as breastfeeding to keep her hydrated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Safe: If she appears to be nursing normally, it may not be needed. Breast milk is far healthier than pedialyte. If she fills up on pedialyte, she may not be interested in eating. You can monitor hydration by whether she's having normal number of wet diapers.
