Dads got pneumonia. is it possible for my daughter whos on imuran (azathioprine) to catch it ?

Pneumonia: This obviously depends upon the cause of the pneumonia. Many pneumonias are not easily transmitted person to person, but others may be. Best to discuss this with your dad's doctor or the pediatrician who placed your daughter on imuran (azathioprine). Good luck.

She should be safe: Common bacterial pneumonia is not contagious. It's caused by microbes that are usually normal body flora. Some of the viral pneumonias / chest colds are catching but not any more dangerous to someone on Imuran (azathioprine) than any other mild viral infection.
