Daughter with crohn's has been getting a sore throat for the last year.on imuran and pentasa. could it be from her medication? recently started nexium (esomeprazole)

Probably reflux: She is on the correct med. Pretty reasonable to assume she has reflux. Very common in this situation. Give the medium a chance to work. You can always dial up the dose as well if no progress is made. Good luck.
