Got my wisdom teeth out a week ago, and still taking 1 ibuprofen 800 mg every 8 hours. is it okay to have a glass of wine during any of the 8 hours?

Wisdom Teeth: Yes it is safe to have the wine during dinner or lunch. I would see the oral surgeon because generally the Motrin is only needed for about three days. If you are in pain without the Motrin then you need to see the surgeon to be sure all is okay.

Yes, but: It is or typical to continue to need this amount of pain killers. Talk to the extracting dentist about this. You can have wine in moderation.

Read/listen: Listen to the advice of the surgeon/dentist and read the info on the meds to be sure it is OK to have wine.

Not recommended: Do not drink alcohol while taking ibuprofen. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding. Always ask your doctor before using any medicine together with alcohol.
