How long has it been: There is the question. If it's been there all your life and is the same color as your lip, and there's been no changes and growth, margin, or extra vessels, then that's a much better scenario then if it is different color growing and has irregular margins. Hopefully it's a benign amelanotic mole or nevi. If shorter time, and feels like it has fullness, it could be a cold sore developing. Have it checked out by your pcp.
