Suboxone ; Surgery: The answer cannot be generalized to every patient as everyone's needs, tolerance, level of dependance, and receptor physiology varies. Depending on the type of surgery, Suboxone can be stopped and post-op pain temporarily managed with another opiate. Ideally can increase dose of Suboxone to provide added pain control. Discuss this with your prescribing doctor and anesthesiologist.
