Suboxone: Disclaimer I have worked with suboxone. A wonderful drug and a wonderful alternative if you cannot get off the drugs . Other options are cold turkey or Methadone neither which are very preferable. A warning :there is a lot of profiteering and dishonest doctors out there. It is still rather expensive . Suboxone itself is addicting but a good pain medicine also varies the difficulty to stop it.

Be Careful: If you still have the chronic pain, then 1st. Find an alternative to the opioids, that will adequately control your pain before getting off the opiods. Otherwise you may feel miserable from pain and again end up with opiods. I have seen enough of such cases.
