Eating disorders: Anorexia nervosa ; bulemia are potentially life-threatening diseases. Binge eating is not, but is nevertheless characterized as an eating disorder ; as such is best treated by providers who have substantial clinical experience in dealing with eating disorders. There are centers of excellence at many tertiary institutions that combine the expertise of many specialists--find one near you please.
