Burns need most of : All to be kept clean. So start by using a gentle soap and water. Typicallly burns from hot pots are second degree and will blister. If so it is best not to puncture the blister and contaminate the tissue initialy. Any topical antibiotic ointment such as Bacitracin typically will help reduce the chance of superinfection. If it is large, or looks worse, or circulation or sensation affected see md.

Possibly: The eyes are very sensitive, and almost anything can be an irritant. That being said, their own saliva would be unlikey to cause any serious problems.

Several Options: If you recentry injured the area of concern, then a tendon injury is possible. If not. You could have developed a ganglion cyst which tends to be common in the wrist and hand. I would have a physician examine it to find out what would be the next step.
