TMJoint issue?: It sounds like you might have an issue with your tmjoint(s). It might be just strained or a sign of some deeper problem that you have had but were unaware of. It would be best to have a dentist take a look to see what is going on.

Probably TMJ: Probably open dislocation of the tmj. No problem unless it happens again. If it gets stuck open and doesn't immediately go back in place - see an oral surgeon asap.

Possible dislocation: It is possible that the condyle of the mandible ( lower jaw ) was pushed forward out of the jaw joint. If you push back and down on the ramus of the mandible (the part that is adjacent to the cheek) you may be able to re-insert the jaw into the joint. If you are unsuccessful, see a dentist or an oral surgeon.
