Iron Sulfate Tablets: Are the best source of iron to correct iron deficiency anemia. They are not always tolerated well. Try taking 300mg twice or three times a day. Check with the doctor after a month to see if you need to continue.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.

Make sure: First of all, your doctor needs to make sure your anemia is caused by iron deficiency because there are many other possible causes of anemia. If that's the case, then there are several foods rich in iron but probably the best way to go is to take an iron supplement.

The other option if one is unable to take oral medications or has severe anemia is to get an IV iron transfusion. If doing oral medications, take it with orange juice to improve absorption.
