Old blood: I did end of the leap the cervix is cauterized and a hemostatic solution is often applied to the cervix. This can lead to scabbing and scarring of the cervix which upon menses will sometimes gets sloughed off as dark discharge. Sometimes the cervical os will become stenotic, preventing blood from flowing and causing slow discharge that looks more brown than usual.

Continue Pill: Nature of bleeding may be related to healing of the cervix from leep. Continue current pill brand and monitor any other changes. With time, persistent pill use tends to lighten the flow of the menstrual bleeding.
