PMS: It sounds as if you have symptoms from pre-menstrual syndrome. The fact that this pain comes monthly right before your period says that it's likely hormonally caused. It's difficult to say why you would have that pain as high as right under your breast bone, possibly referred pain from the pelvis. Try Ibuprofen for the pain. Hopefully your doctor has scheduled follow up us for your cyst as well.
