Dr. Duane Gels answered

Specializes in Allergy and Immunology

See an allergist: Cholinergic urticaria, or "heat hives", is one of several types of physical urticarias. It has a unique appearance, being small bumps that itch associated with increased body temperature, and can be confused with exercise induced hives. Be sure to rule out early exercise induced anaphylaxis ("shock"). There are a number of good allergists in Chicagoland, check www.aaaai.org
