please help docs! is reiki energy healing a good form of alternative healing?

Additional healing: As with anything else, it depends upon what condition one is wishing to heal. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. This in itself is beneficial in addressing pain and reducing stress, which can aggravate most illnesses and diseases.

Depends: So many women have this fear and it is almost always unfounded. You will be amazed at what you can do in the moment of birth! however, maternal exhaustion sometimes prevents effective pushing. If the baby is low enough your doc will likely be able to assist with a vacuum or forceps.

Not there yet: We are still not advanced enough scientifically or medically to really be able to measure or understand these changes. Water appears to imprint energy (http://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=tavzsjcbtx8). 2/3 of the body is water. The expression of our dna may be influenced through electromagnetic energy in water (epigenetics)(biology of belief - lipton). So em may change our dna expression.

What is this energy medicine wand?

Dr. Kenneth Cheng
Family Medicine 31 years experience
Unproven treatment: The energy wand (iyashi energy wand, amega energy wand, and nano energy wand) is a alternative form of treatment for various ailments. The concept is that these wands contain certain "powers" that focus the energy to the point of the wand, creating healing, pain relief, etc. This is an unproven form of treatment with no peer-reviewed studies showing any effectiveness. A waste of time and money.

I used to be so fit when I was young, but now that i'm older, I feel so out of energy. What can I do?

Dr. Wm. Marcus Spurlock

Energy: You need a complete evaluation of your hormone levels by a physician knowledgeable in those areas. Low thyroid and low estrogen can certainly be causes of low energy. See your health care professional and have them look for causes of fatigue and lack of energy!
Dr. Julie Abbott
Preventive Medicine 45 years experience
After excluding worrisome causes of fatigue, slowly start to recondition yourself by walking 10 minutes a day and working up. For most of us, reconditioning is the main reason for lack of energy:)
