Can you explain if it's true that eating mushrooms and carrots lower cholesterol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet: Eating mushrooms and carrots in the context of a good diet and exercise program can help lower cholesterol. Sitting on one's duff and eating loads of fatty foods and excess carbohydrates is unlikely to result in anything good even if one eats carrots and mushrooms in that 'bad' diet.
