Possibly: Blood pressure control can be an issue following carotid stenting. There are receptors in the carotid artery that contribute to the body's blood pressure going up and down, and manipulation of this area, either with stenting or surgery can result in swings up and/or down. This is usually a short term issue, and your doctor should be able manage it.
