Yes: Ventolin, proventil, and proair are all brand name rescue inhalers that contain albuterol. They are generally used every 4 hours for wheezing or shortness of breath from asthma and copd, or 15-30 minutes prior to exercise for patients with exercise-induced asthma.

Chest tightness SOB chest pain for two months. Clear chest ct, 3cxr,3ekg,PFT good, lots of blood work. Albuterol mask at er, and rescue inhaler do nothing. Only thing that seems to work is ativan, (lorazepam) and it works well. Does this mean its anxiety?
