I'm dieting and i am only eating about 900-1000 calories a day. i am 5'11 240ish lbs. is this bad?

Not necessarily ...: A 1200 calorie diet is generally recommended to achieve about 2 lbs of weight loss/week. As long you are getting enough protein and adequate vitamins/nutrients in your food, it is not necessarily bad for you. Keep in mind that sustainable changes in your diet and exercise habits will be much better for you long term than a crash diet, however.
