4-6 months: It sounds as if you had what we call a bimalleolar ankle fracture. Sprains of the surrounding ligaments almost always accompanies these injuries as well. I'm guessing you will be limited in your ability to bear weight for 4-8 weeks and immobilized for 6-12 weeks. You then should plan on some form of rehab for another 1-3 months. Thus, your full recovery will likely be in the 4-6 month range.
