A member asked:

Can a lot of bv infections affect your fertility?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not typically: If BV is due solely to common vaginal flora that is growing out of proportion to your normal lactobaccilli, then i don't think there's a problem with infertility. Commonly, only infections that can climb into your fallopian tubes and uterus are going to cause problems with fertility. For example chlamydia and gonorrhea. Be safe, use condoms to prevent these types of stds.
