Sober, with f1 hepc and recent high gamma gt of 93, high ast of 47, normal alt of 46. gallstones and tenderness and feeling of heat in top right of rib.

Biliary colic: Gallstone attacks aka biliary colic are right sided, above the umbilicus, lasts 20 minutes or longer, associated with nausea and occasional vomiting. Fatty foods make it worse. Go for a surgery consult. Gallstones can be dangerous when infection or obstruction occur. Risk benefit analysis is in favor of gallbladder removal. Hep c does not change this recommendation. Be well.
