They should be fine: Dilating eye drops (mydriatics) are usually quite sufficient to dilate the pupil wide enough for funduscopic evaluation. With the aide of diagnostic ophthalmic lenses, both direct (contact) ; indirect (non contact), almost the entire retina can visualized under high magnification.
