Side effect not perm: Minocycline sometimes but not often create a discoloration of lips, gums and other aspects of the oral mucosa. My read on the matter is that is temporary in nature. Your best best is to use a lipstick to counter the color. If you stop taking the medication (maybe your md can prescribe an alternative) and it doesn't subside in a few weeks, contact your prescribing md.
