Advil (ibuprofen): Usually meds like advil (ibuprofen) or alleve work pretty well for period pains. If not, the birth control pill prevents 90% of period pain, as long as you take it.

Naproxin, ibuprofen: Naproxin (aleave) can last 8-12 hours and ibuprofen can last 6-8.Both are sometimes effective in lessening period pain.Starting them the day before can often head off some of the cramps, taking them before school starts may work for you.
