Probable virus: It appears to be a viral flu-like infection at this time. If significant soreness of the throat develops a rapid throat culture to rule out strep would be a good idea. For viral infections, fluids and tylenol (acetaminophen) may help relieve symptoms and the infection runs its course in several days.
