No guarantees : A grade 2 ankle sprain does not necessarily ever heal. This is ligament tissue that usually heals in 12 weeks, assuming no reaggravation of the injury. Many times there is more to an ankle sprain than just the torn ligament(s). You can have several other reasons for continued pain. You could have a tendon injury or a bone/cartilage injury as well. You may need an mri. Have it evaluated again.
