How is bacterial vaginosis transmitted? is through having multiple sex partners?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can be: Bacterial vaginosis is a description for when a 'normal' vaginal flora (bacteria) grows in abnormal proportion and becomes the dominant bacteria in your vagina.... Over the normal dominant bacteria (the good bacteria, lactobaccilli). Many things cause bv, including exposure to different bacteria through multiple sex partners, allergens, toxins, changes in exercise, stress, diet.
