Maybe nothing...: There is a debate among STD experts whether BV is an STD. It is closely related to sex. Cases like yours support the STD theory, but it's not known if some (most? all?) cases are due to catching a particular germ that causes it. Treating the male partners usually doesn't help. See GUM specialist, check for other STDs, re-treat (metronidazole), and use condoms consistently for the next few weeks.
