What did surgeon say: This is not an uncommon complaint after hip replacement. Some options would include scar adhesions, muscular strain, bursitis of the hip flexors, neuritis of the sensory branches of the femoral nerve, and even infection. This should be investigated further by the surgeon who performed the hip. May need a work up that includes labs, x-rays, ct scan.
