A member asked:

Been tested "hiv1/2 antibody reflex " twice; 2-2.5 ish mon. after possible exposure & 1 about 2 weeks later at 3 mon. both neg shuld i be worried still?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Deoends on the test: Hiv virus can be detected as soos as 6to12 days afterexposure to the virus and about 2 weeks before antibodies are made if you were only tested for antibodies you have to wait 2 more weeks to be tested as by that time antibodies may be detected you can not detect antibodies 2weeks after exposure.
