A member asked:

Good day to you all. i recently had a blood test which shows a high ck mm level (more than 1000). i like to know what are the implications of this.

How do you feel?: The reference range for creatine kinase assumes that the person does not exercise. In my experience, especially with healthy med students, almost everyone who's even mildly fitness-focused has high ck. I've seen labs over 3000 from an afternoon's hard workout. If you have no evidence of muscular dystrophy or myopathy, and you exercise, be proud of yourself.
