Needs examination: The lesion you describe needs a physical examination and possibly a biopsy. Please ask your dentist to refer you to an oral surgeon. Please do not put this off.

Need it evaluated: Any new and or abnormal lesions need to be evaluated, and possibly biopsied to assure a proper diagnosis is acquired so any needed treatment can occur.
